Coolio, Rapper 'Gangsta's Paradise', Dead at 59

'90s rapper Coolio, who had hits like "Gangsta Paradise" and "Fantastic Voyage," has died, told his manager and friend Jarez Posey. His age is 59.

Captain Eric Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that firefighters and paramedics replied to a call at 4 p.m. at the 2900 block of South Chesapeake Avenue.

Actor Lou Diamond Phillips also offered his sympathy, sharing some memories with the artist. "I'm absolutely stunning. Coolio was a friend and one of the hottest, funniest people I've ever met.

We had an amazing time together making Red Water in Cape Town and we loved going face-to-face in the kitchen. He was one of a kind. Epic, Legendary and I would miss him," Phillips said in a tweet.
